Sugar Content (g/L): El Dorado significantly reformulated its range around 2020–2021 to reduce or eliminate added sugar. The content varies depending on whether you have a "New Label"
Pairing & Mixing Recommendations:
12-Year-Old Special Reserve
Mixing: Best for spirit-forward cocktails like a Rum Old Fashioned or a Corn and Oil. Its tropical fruit and spice notes also work well in a Mai Tai or Navy Grog.
Pairing: Complements steak, aged cheeses, or desserts featuring dark chocolate and toffee. 
15-Year-Old Special Reserve
Mixing: Generally considered a sipping rum, but it can be used in "luxury" Tiki drinks like a Zombie or paired with elderflower liqueur and coconut water for a complex tropical drink.
Pairing: Pairs excellently with rich meats, dried fruits (raisins/prunes), and creamy blue cheeses. 
21-Year-Old Special Reserve
Mixing: Highly recommended to be served neat or with a single large ice cube to appreciate the deep oak and toffee profile. Avoid heavy mixers that mask its age.
Pairing: Ideal as a digestif (after-dinner drink) alongside premium cigars, walnuts, or intense dark chocolate.
